Whaddon Old Boys 1966-67
Whaddon Old Boys Skittles Team after collecting their cups as Hospital Cup runners-up and Division 10 runners-up in 1967. It's worth noting the suits, shirts and ties, the late Dave Evans the Cheltenham Skittles League Chairman for ten years is seated in front row third from left.
The team from back left were Mike Watts, Roy Harris, Phil 'Thatcher' Judge, Ray 'Snowy' White, John 'Minnie' Minett, Ray 'Milky Bar' Blake, Ray 'Spud' Taylor, Dave 'Sam' Thomas, Vic 'Cass' Cole. The front row from the left is the late Ron Radford, Kenny 'Digger' Fitts, the late Dave 'Donkey' Evans, Clive 'Chinky' Chandler, the late Phil Watts, the late John 'Jex' Cross, Mike 'Ted ' Hall.
Many of you would have played skittles at the old Saracens Club will have played in 'The John Cross Room'. John was a very popular active football member of that club from its earliest days as was Phil Watts. Dave Evans became the Chairman of the Cheltenham Skittles League and President of the Gloucestershire Bowls Association
The Whaddon Old Boys were founded in 1963 by members of the Whaddon and College Boys Club and progressed over the years to the Premier 'A' where they spent 10 years, now playing in the Premier 'B'.
